A simple tool for narrating presentations.

• Press the play button above to enable audio replay
• Then click anywhere else on the slide…
• …and press the down arrow key to advance
• The audio clips on subsequent slides should play automatically

The Problem

• Screencasts aren't text: they're pixels in the shape of text
• So they're not searchable, accessible, linkable, or styleable

The Solution (and Problems)

• Browsercast plays short snippets of audio as slides progress
• Uses snap-scroll
• But:
  • Users must press "play" on the first slide to give permission
  • Each slide's audio must be in a separate file
  • Clips are replayed when slides are revisited
  • Overflow isn't handled gracefully
  • We don't handle captioning or internationalization
